How does Pivest make money?

Pivest earns revenue through interchange fees on card transactions. Whenever you use your Pivest Visa® Debit Card or Credit Builder Secured Credit Card to make purchases or pay bills, Visa processes the payment and charges a fee to the merchant. Pivest receives a portion of that fee. This model allows us to continue developing innovative, user-friendly products that help you get more from your money—without relying on hidden fees.

Who can use Pivest?

Pivest is available to U.S. citizens and legal residents who are 18 years or older. While your Pivest card can be used globally, we currently offer accounts only to individuals living in the United States or the District of Columbia who have a valid Social Security Number (SSN).

Does Pivest charge any fees?

 Pivest doesn’t charge fees to sign up, and there are no overdraft fees, monthly service fees, minimum balance requirements, or card replacement fees. However, a $2.50 fee applies if you withdraw cash over the counter or from an out-of-network ATM that’s not part of Pivest’s 50,000+ fee-free ATM network. There’s also a $2 fee for receiving funds instantly through PivestPay®. Keep in mind that third-party services, like external money transfer providers, may charge additional fees.

Is Pivest a real bank?

Pivest is not a walk in  bank. It is a financial technology company that provides banking services through The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A.; Members FDIC. Pivest members can open a Checking Account with an optional Savings Account and have the opportunity to build their credit history by applying for a secured Pivest Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card—all while enjoying the convenience of online and mobile banking. Eligibility requirements apply for the Credit Builder card.
